Coloured pencils on coloured paper
Helena Marsch from Hudiksvall, Sweden, wrote the beautiful winning interpretation (Swedish):
”Teckningen i tävlingen är ångest. Ångest så djupt rotad att ens väsen blir totalt orubbligt, oböjligt. Oförmögen att nå någonstans, istället tvungen att stilla avvakta.”

The pages Paintings and Drawings have been transformed into sections, containing brand new pages with a LOT of older artwork. I figured out a workaround for the navigation issue, which basically means that it is reversed. If you want to see the next image, you press the previous arrow to the left, below the image. This is the only way I might add new images without screwing up the order totally, and without having to find the right .asp file in the thousands of folders on the server and try to add stolen code to said file, without messing up all of the galleries on the entire site.

Both Paintings and Drawings have been updated with some new stuff.
I will most likely not be updating the blog everytime I do something, since I constantly forget about it. Focusing on art and other projects, trying to finish what I have started before moving on to the next (which is extremely difficult for someone who has a thousand ideas that needs to be put into action right away).
Oh, and I am aware of the fact that the navigation in the slideshows does not work when a new picture has been added. I could probably solve it somehow, but the thought of wrestling with code does not appeal to me at the moment. And so it shall stay that annoying way for some time. Or forever.
There have not been very much happening with my artwork lately, since I have gotten myself involved in another time-consuming project. However, I have managed to find some moments here and there to exercise my hand, which eventually led to a complete new drawing.

It can also be found in ”Drawings”, but then you will have to click on the image twice to get to that enormous proportion. That little trick does it for most of the other drawings as well. When you see the mouse pointer turning into a tiny hand, go ahead and click on the image, to be able to see all of the details.
There we go, the redesign of the website is finally kind of done. This time in English, since I have realized that most of the visitors are not Swedish. The titles will still be written in Swedish (unless they are named in English), since it feels weird to translate someones name.
One of the new arrivals. To see it in full size, check out Paintings.
And yes, I know the quality of the picture is really awful. But since it is not going to be printed or sold, I did not bother with anything else than to pick up my tired old iPhone to take a quick photo, fix the worst things in Photoshop and publish it.
I actually use the phone instead of the scanner for drawings nowadays, as well. It is quick, easy and look kind of the same amount of bad.
